Small Town Charm, Big City Amenities: Foxtail Meadows in St Michael

Centra’s latest development will feature unique housing options spread across 100 acres in a top 10 Minnesota city– all just minutes from Town Center. 

Homebuyers seeking new homes in the outlying suburbs are often forced to make a tough choice.  While buyers may seek the atmosphere of a small town, many also prefer the amenities of an urban center.  Striking the right balance between the two often means tradeoffs.

Centra recently broke ground on Foxtail Meadows which sits on 100 acres near 30th street, just southwest of Town Center.  Plans call for over 200 homes built in multiple phases, with enough options to appeal to downsizers, young families and professionals alike. 

Available new construction homes will include both single-family homes as well as two-story and villa-style twin home layouts.  Starting square footage will range from 1300-2600.   

While the home offerings will be diverse, Centra Homes President Dale Wills says biggest draw will remain consistent:

That historic, small town charm has been carefully cultivated by city planners and council leaders over a series of years.  It has not gone unnoticed.  St Michael has been named one of the 10 Best Places to Live in Minnesota by Movoto.com.   The site notes that the city “is ideally placed for many of Minnesota’s northern recreational areas and access to the Twin Cities, but with the added bonus of a rural and small town feel.”

City planners continue to  oversee significant growth throughout the community and thoughtful investment in development of Town Center. Along with growing local businesses, retail and restaurants downtown, recent public improvements include  the brand new Town Center Park (opened in spring 2021) that features a large playground, splash pad, pickleball courts, and recreation space.

Grading at Foxtail Meadows is completeand home construction for phase one will begin to ramp up through the fall and winter 2021 seasons. Pre-sales will begin in December of this year.
