North Mississippi Regional Park
A true gem! Located along the west bank of the Mississippi River, hidden behind the I-94 freeway wall, this park offers scenic views of the river, woods and the prairie. Here you’ll find a play area, wading pool, fishing pier, boat launch, picnic tables, and more.
Mississippi River Trail (MRT)
MRT is an adventurous bicycle route that traverses the shores of the Mississippi River from Itasca State Park to Louisiana. The riding surface is made up of low-use roads and multi-use trails.
Palmer Lake Park
This park contains over 200 acres of park land, including the lake, marshes and wetlands. It’s an excellent place to spot wildlife, and to enjoy both paved and natural trails; picnic shelters; playgrounds; and sports facilities.
Parks and Trails
There are over 522 acres of parks and nature areas within Brooklyn Center, as well as 20 miles of trails which extend to all neighboring communities.
Centerbrook Golf Course
Located on 28 acres, this course consists of nine three-par holes. Amenities include electronic carts, golf lessons, pro shop and snack bar.
Earle Brown Days Festival
An annual festival held in June. Activities include a craft & business expo, kid’s fishing contest, parade, live music, fireworks, and senior golf tournament.
Community Gardens
If you don’t have the space at home to take advantage of your green thumb, rent a plot at Centennial Park West! This is a great opportunity to grow your own produce and flowers while also improving your neighborhood and the environment.
